"Six in the morning. Really?" the blonde groaned to herself. Rolling over, she sleepily searched for the off-button with her perfectly manicured fingers. It was moments like this that made her glad that she didn't have a roommate to hear her when she was in her grouchy morning mood. Rolling onto her back and closing her for one more moment, Scar let her mind drift back to her dreams. She had dreamt of her family, her friends, her now-ex boyfriend. She dreamt of riding at her old stables, of laughing at her old school, and even going to her favorite coffee shop. Opening her eyes, Scar was forced to face reality. The reality that she was alone.
Pulling back her cranberry-colored comforter, Scarlett pulled her long legs out from under it and off of the bed, sitting up. After a quick stretch and a loud yawn, the tall blonde stood, her feet hitting the cold, hard floor. As she walked over to her vanity, she heard the sound of feet hitting the hallway floor outside her door as girls frantically rushed to be the first to shower. This might've been Scarlett's first time at boarding school, but she was smart enough to have showered the previous night. Sitting down in front of the large mirror on her vanity, Scar began to get ready for the day. A thin layer of moisturizer was followed by a thin layer of foundation, and then by a swipe of powder. Following that was a champagne color on her lids, a matte brown in her crease, a think black line on her upper lashline, and a few coats of mascara. With one swipe of gloss, Scarlett's face was ready for war. I mean, the day ahead. Her hair was dry and with a few messy waves but a few run-overs with the flat iron solved her problem instantly. Standing and walking towards her closet, the blonde decided on her attire for the day. Shedding her tank top and booty-shorts, she put on an emerald green, fitted, spaghetti-strap dress. Over that, she placed a tiny, gold bird necklace and a tan-colored leather vest. Finally, she slipped her feet in a pair of heeled, chocolate-brown booties and she was ready to go.
Grabbing her caramel-colored leather tote, Scar carefully locked and shut her door behind her. Fishing through her bag, she pushed aside her various folders, books, and notebooks to find her white iPhone. As she exited her dorm building, she sent a few texts to her friends and family back home. She reassured them that she was doing fine and that it was great so far. Maybe it wasn't quite great, but Scar couldn't complain. She even remembered how to reach the cafeteria from her dorm. Sometimes, it's life's little pleasures. How humiliating would it have been to have to ask for directions to the cafeteria? Her long, tanned legs carried her towards the building that housed all of her meals from hereon out. Her green eyes caught a glimpse of the inside through the large windows. Wow, it sure was busy. Pushing open the heavy door, Scar walked into the crowded eatery and took a moment to take in all the people. Students bustled around, socializing amongst themselves and getting their food. Walking through the center of the cafeteria, Scar felt eyes on her. Of course she did. It was a small school and she was clearly the newbie. Simply shrugging it off, the blonde walked up to the counter and got a small omelette, a few strawberries, and a mug of tea. Eyes continued to follow her every move as she walked over to an empty table by the window. Intense, much? Scarlett was used to attention, but never the type that came from being the absolute newbie. And she was doing it all alone.

[/style][/td][td] [atrb=border,0,true] Cali lifted her always tanned freshley-shaved legs up from the bed. She rubbed her eyes and her legs carried her to the mirror. Her golden-blonde hair was up in a side-ponytail,no strands pulled from. Her eyes looked sleepy, but she managed to keep the day going. She pulled her hair out of the ponytail and it settled softly on her tanned shoulders. Her roomate wasn't up yet,so Cali managed to wake-up earlier than her. Cal was a morning and night person. But when it came to afternoons, she didn't know what to do. Either it was messing around with guys or try on some designer clothing, her parents shipped her from Paris and NYC. Cali shook her delicate head daintly, looking for something to do. She showered last night and wouldn't bother to do it in the morning. Cali picked up her orange brush and ran it through her curly hair, in search of tangles and hairballs. Luckily, she found none. She ran a few coats black mascara on her eye-lashes and a swipe of her favorite lip-gloss. Her face didn't need that much make-up,cause it was perfect without it! She opened her closet and ran her deadly-expensive manicure fingers, softly through her clothes. She picked out an ocean-blue tank-top and a black mini skirt, from Barneys. She slipped into a black glitzy short-sleeve jacket, with her name ingraved at the back. Cali chose silver Prada sandals and grabbed her ChloƩ diamonized purse.
Cali walked ot of dorm. Some students rambled in and out of shoppes, cafes, and the dining hall. Cali signed deeply and walked forward. A few eyes drifted toward her. She was one of those newbies, who walked on campus and recieved a few stares. Cali shrugged them off and concentrated ahead. Her stomach and Cali blushed. She was sure the whole school heard it,but no one noticed. Cali smiled. The sun was peanking out from a white cloud. There was no sign of rain or a storm coming,so all was good for the campus and hopily for Cali Desilets. Her china-blue eyes were set ahead for attack and war. It was another day for Appleberry and all was well. Not everything was well. Cali knew that. She didn't even start her drama yet. Right now,she looked like and seemed like a filthy, rich newbie that came from many pretigous boarding schools. She could handle Appleberry and she knew the school knew that too. She walked up the steps on the Dining Hall. She pushed open the huge doors and the scents breakfeast lured her in line. The line was short, cause it was early in the morning. Cali grabbed a tray and ran her eyes through the choices. There were omlets, juicies, and etc. Cali chose grits and a few grits. She had to gain weight, but her she was perfect as she was. She picked up a strawberry-banana smoothie and looked for a table.
Most of them were occupied with groups or students finishing homework due the next day or today. Cali looked around, her skirt swishing about her thighs. Some people motioned for her to sit with them, but Cali wasn't about to sit with a person that was eager to know her. She shook her blonde head and headed toward the back of the dining hall. She was about to sit at the populars table, when she notcied another blonde siting alone. Cali could start her drama with her,but she all alone. She could either be friendly or a bitch toward her. But Cali had to see her reaction to her,if she had to do either or neither. Cali saw this girl was getting the attention. Cali held her mysterious smirk as she breezed by the tables. Eyes instanly, glued to Cali. She stole the attention from the other blonde. Cali walked up to her table and looked at her. "Can I sit?" Cali said in her friendly-sweet tone.

This new school was seemingly even more stereotypical than she'd expected. Everyone sat at their designated tables, never to overstep their boundaries. The popular girls sat at one corner, the jocks at another. The nerds really did look their part, even non-judegmental Scarlett had to admit. And then their was everyone else in their indivual cliques. Sluts, partiers, the list goes on and on. The tall blonde never really understood clicks. She supposed that she was a part of one at her old school but it wasn't intentional. She had a close group of tightnit friends and they also happened to be quite popular. But here, it seems like the cliques were far more important than back home. But Scarlett could understand that. She's seen enough movies to know that it was just High School Survivial 101. Find a clique or be destined to be pushed around. Lone wolves don't survive long in the harsh high school habitat.
Scar looked around and caught the familair face of Sammie, the girl she'd met at the barn. She was surrounded by friends, obviously apart of the popular crowd. Scarlett didn't really know her but she knew enough about girls like her to know that she couldn't just walk over to Sammie's table and expect a warm welcome. Maybe she'd say hello later, but there was no way she'd just waltz over there and take a seat. Scar was ambitious, but not self-destructive. Besides, sitting alone wasn't the worst thing ever. She got to answer some texts from friends back home. She wasn't really alone, she reminded herself. Scar would always have her friends and family back home. They'd grown up together and had seen each other through their fair share of rough times. Many nights were spent together on the phone, sobbing together about one family drama or another. But the girls weren't being dramatic; they genuinely had their reasons to be upset. Divorces, scandals, deaths, the list went on and on. But the girls had always been constants in each other's lives, sometimes their only sense of security. The bonds that they created could never be severed, even by a very long physcial distance between them.
While Scar was busy munching on her breakfast and absorbed in a group text on her phone, she didn't notice that the attention drifted away from her. She'd been ignoring it, not really caring. Let them stare; she had nothing to hide. But nevertheless, she was curious to who their new victim was. Glancing in the direction of their glares and curious gazes, Scar saw another tall blonde, fashionably dressed and very confident. That's odd. Most of the girls at thsi upscale school seemed to dress like that, so why was this girl any different? Whatever. Scar knew she'd find out soon enough. Drama was notorious for creating gossip, which she knew she'd hear soon enough. Looking back down at her phone, Scar was surprised to hear a voice asking her if she could sit. Raising her green eyes to meet a pair of blue ones, she observed that it was the girl who drew so much attention. This was either going to go great or very badly, Scarlett just knew that. People didn't stare for no reason. "Yeah, sure, go for it," Scar replied easily with a small smile. She decided to give this girl the benefit of the doubt. "I'm Scarlett," she introduced herself.

[/style][/td][td] [atrb=border,0,true] Cali cocked her delicate head, her golden curls, falling beside her. Cali's china-blue eyes peared closer at the girl,to get a better look. She didn't show any sign of wanting a fight or becoming friends. She was either plotting a plan, like Cali did or she didn't have any business with her. But Cal didn't mind. Cali's glossed lips, played a friendly smirk,as she settled her tray of food across from Scarlet's. She was suspecting a title or something, but it seemed that Scarlet didn't have neither. Cali cocked a perfectly-waxed eyebrow at her and took her seat, across from the blonde.
Since Cal,took all the attention away from Scarlet, she didn't seem why she had to start a topic during their little-short greeting. Cali leaned back in her seat and crossed her legs, gracefully. "I'm Cali." She said in her friendly-flat tone again. Cali looked up at the wall clock. It was 7:30. Cali seemed surprised to see the time go that fast. Cali heard shouts, shoving, noises coming from the Dining Hall's main door. Cali turned her head over to see. There was a crowd of students,at the doors trying to shove there way through,to get to the line of breakfeast that awaited them and their stocmachs. "Should've come earlier." Cali said, snickering at them. Cali turned back to Scarlet. She could either start a fight or act friendly torge her. But Cali had to await her respone.
First come the kill and THEN the gossip. There wouldn't be a gossiper in town,if it wasn't for Appleberry. Cali couldn't wait for the next story that came. The first two were BOTH, about the infamous Sammie Legar. Cali held her smirk, remebering the time she met the two-headed bitch of Appleberry. She wanted to take her down, but Cali had to go forward with her plans first. Cali's china-blue eyes pierced at Scarlet, giving her attention. Cali scooped up a few grits and brought them to her mouth. They ran down her throat, softly and Cali rinsed it down with her smoothie. Cali titled her blonde head up and her glossed mouth opened, to speak. "When did you get here?" Cali asked Scarlet,in her flat tone. Cali crossed her arms over her chest, awaiting Scarlet's response back to Cal. She could either be friendly back or be a bitch. Cali suspected the bitchy part, cause' Scarlet seemed to heated up today. Cali's nearly-makeup free face was expressionless and didn't react when Scarlet responded.

[style=font-family: times; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: lowercase; color: #989898; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;] 371 WORDS FOR CALI[/style][style=font-family: times; font-size: 57px; letter-spacing: -3px; text-transform: lowercase; margin-top: -20px; color: #989898;]DREAM [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;] As the well-dressed blonde took a seat across from Scarlett, she felt her being sized up. She was used to it from riding and playing sports but it had been a while since she was judged at school. She'd beeen with the same people since kindergarten, their parents all knowing each other and everyone getting on pretty well. Over the span of their education, rivalries and cliques popped up, but still, everyone knew everyone and there were few surprises. Nobody had anything to prove. Here, Scar felt like she had to prove herself worthy with every move she made. Her riding would have to be perfection, her grades nearly all A's, and even the way she dressed would have to be flawless. The popular crowd was the only one that she fit into, so if she didn't own up to their standards, she'd be living a lonely lifestyle.
Contemplating a bit as she daintily picked at her omlette, Scar glanced up and looked around when Cali did the same. People came rushing in at close to the last second. Her snicker in reply confirmed Scar's initial reaction to the girl. She was all about the drama, maybe even a theatre student. But there was nthing wrong with that; Scar could be dramatic herself. Besides, it seemed like lots of the students here were that way. "Yeah, this is my first day eating here but even I didn't miss that memo," Scarlett nodded in agreement. She'd have to note that there was a huge rush at 7:30. Nothing could be more embarassing than the new girl messing up in the cafeteria in front of everyone.
This girl seemed to be prety intense in Scar's eyes. She and Sammie shared the same piercing gaze that she supposed was meant to be intimidating. Well, she cetainly wasn't intimidated but she was curious to why they shared this fire. She'd known girls who were into intimidating people but it was a surprise that she'd met two of them so quickly. When asked how long she'd been here, Scarlett replied easily, "A few days. I mostlyjust unpacked, rode, and got usedto the campus. This is my first day of official classes."

Cali crossed her always-tanned legs and signed deeply. She leaned back, bored with their conversation for herself. Cali wasn't boring, except if she stuck on ONE topic for a day. It'll be good if it wasn't a week. Cali could here one of her followers joke around with her back at her other boarding school. Cali sipped her strawberry-banana smoothie, that washed down her morning grits. She could Scarlet wasn't the talking-oh popular type. Cali saw it in many girls, but Scarlet was the first she saw.
Cali sat up straight and opened her freshly-glossed pouth to speak back. "I've been consentrating on my homework and riding too." Cali said. She tucked a loose strand of her golden-blonde hair behind her pierced ear and sucked in the school's air. Cali had just started her offical classes yesterday and was ready for what Appleberry Crest threw down at her.
