But sometimes, she opted for a bit of sunshine even though she knew her pasty Irish inherited skin would never tan. But with the sun shining like it is and those degrees hitting the mid seventies, outside was a very hard thing to pass up. Besides, in a place like Forks where all what it did was rain, Holly needed those sunshine days to remember what paradise felt like before she went home every summer and sadly discovered that there were no vampires to take her away from the dull world of Washington State. Appleberry though, was very different and full of life usually. Plus, it also happened to be that Holly was not the only one taking advantage to lounge outside on a day like to day, plenty of people were. Blue grey eyes glanced around, taking in the scenery of the fresh green leaves and how they scattered the ground with shade. Even more importantly though, as Holly liked to do was watch her fellow classmates. Various girls were getting their tan on, some of the kids who liked sports but didn't want the time commitment were playing fresibee and then of course, the actual jocks who were just about chucking any kind of ball they could: football, soccer ball, lacrosse ball, you name it, she saw it. Too bad she couldn't convince Glee club to come out and bust into song and dance like they were in a musical. Now that would be hilarious. Taking a juice pack from her purse, Holly stabbed the straw into it and put it to her lips as she continued to watch. Between laughs, shouts, the birds, and the rustling leaves from the gentle breeze, Holly O'Hara began to hear a tune. A spring time, bittersweet symphony. And then it gave her an idea. Well, a musical idea maybe as she quickly grabbed a pen, a notebook, and then an blank piece of sheet music. Scribbling her pen down to make sure it worked, Holly soon started to fill the sheet music with staffs, notes, and musical clefs. They scrawled out like a new language and she found herself lost in it, so lost that anything could come hurtling her way and she wouldn't even notice it. |
