Appleberry. Appleberry. Cali didn't choose Appleberry. Her parents did. She only wanted to make some drama here and it didn't seem like they lightning up anyway. Today wasn't the best day for the campus. The clouds overhead were dark and Cali had her umberalla up right away. Instanly, rain pounded against the campus,peering through the soil and ripping leave through the center. It wasn't hail,just rain. The day was dark and only the rain was the clouding the campus, through. Students hurried to shelter, while Cali made her way to the Slice. She pursered her glossed lips,toghter,tightly and tightened her umberalla. The sunlight hadn't shone through and only the streetlights were the main lights for now. Cali passed empty benches and the streetlights. There were puddles eveyrwhere,but Cali avoided them. Her red Yaks rain boots, splashed in puddles. Cali shivered,pulling her black coat,tighter around skinny-slim frame. She made her ways,up the steps of the Slice and forced herself in. Heat blasted Cali,with warmth and she signed with relief. Cali closed her umberalla and pushed it into her grape prada purse. Cali unbuttoned her coat and pushed back strands of her golden-blonde hair away from her eyes. Her china-blue eyes pierced ahead and Cali strutted ahead. Everyone looked up to see the newbie and conversations broke out into whispers. A few drifted upon Cali,as she breezed by them, her hips moving sharply from side to side. She slid gracefully, into a booth and shoved her coat off. Cal wore lilac-colored jeans paired with one-shoulder hot-pink shirt from Barneys. It hugged her body and left no curves. She crossed her legs,as a waitress made his over to her. Cali spaced out and looked out the window. Appleberry didn't seem all sun-shining as she remenbered the pictures she saw on the schools's website. She rolled her eyes and held a mysterious smirk. She heard shoes tapping,near her and she snapped her head around. Someone rushed in-front of the waitress, getting to Cali's booth first. Cali held her smirk and brought her piercing china-blue eyes,to meet the person. tagged !

[atrb=width,240] Jace flicked the last bit of ashes off his cigarette as he perched up against the railing of the concrete stairs in front of the building. He was trying to remember the last time he slept longer than three hours through the night. Had to have been before coming to this wreck of place. He smelled the rain before it started to fall down. Great, he thought as he made his way to a covered area. He ran his hand through his dark brown hair but it fell right back to where it was before. With a sigh he ran inside the dorms and got his umbrella. There was no way he was going to let the rain make him stay in. He was tired but did not want to stay in. As he made his way down the sidewalks, he caught a glimpse of someone. After taking a double take, he decided to follow. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it simply intrigued Jace, guess it was a good thing he wasn't a cat. As he tromped through the wet streets following the figure through the rain, he recognized who he was after. He debated with himself on whether he wanted to have a little fun with her. He knew very well of the fiery side she had, but if there was anyone who liked to play with fire it was Jace. After he made his decision, he stopped as ways behind and watched her maker her way to the Slice. he straightened his black long sleeved button up and made his way across the street to the pizza joint. Before the waiter could make it to the table, Jace had done slid in the booth across from Cali and sat with his back against the window and his legs up on the cold wooden bench. "I'll take a coke, Garcon" he said in a very bad French accent. "And for the lady, probably a water, y'know nothing with a lot of calories or taste." he said with a wink and a smile at Cali. He knew he was probably in for it, but he needed the fire today. He always needed the fire, that is why he is here to begin with

"I prefer the taste." As Cali watched the waitress walk away. Cali studied the guy in front of her. He had a bad french accent, a black long sleeve, that Cali was sure he through on. Cali raised a perfect waxed eyebrow and leaned back, crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm Cali." She said, in flat voice. She didn't know if she could be friends with this guy or not. But he seemed willingly,to see what Cali had within and out too. Cali smirked and pursered her lips together and waited for him to answer. Cali looked out the window,to only see a stray of sunlight peeking out from a dark rain cloud. Cal was only a newbie on campus and wanted to create some drama here on Appleberry. But she hardly ever saw dark faces,only friendly ones welcoming her and begging her to join them. Cali wasn't about to the step into a group the minute she stepped onto the campus. Cali looked around the Slice,to see students whispering and sneaking peeks at the newbie. Cali shook her head, her golden curls bouncing on her shoulders. The Slice was quiet for now,but Cal knew it was noisy before she stepped into and on the campus. Cal pulled out her IPhone 5 and unlocked it. She had a dozen texts from people from back home and other texts messages from strangers. Cali smirked and deleted all of them. She didn't have time to return their texts and besides, she was 'busy'. tagged !

[atrb=width,240] Jace watched the girl as she made her statement to the server. With a smirk, he straightened out his legs and gave her the good once over. Everything about her was in place. Her hair was perfect, hell even her eyebrows were. He watched as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Cali, huh? Well Cali I'm Jace." He said and crossed his own arms over his chest. This girl radiated anger or darkness or something. Yes Jace had his own past and his own deviant ways but he didn't walk around like her. "Alright Miss Doom and Gloom. Can I get a smile or something?" He waited for her to answer and about that time the server came back with their drinks. He put the straw in his coke and took a long drink. When the server asked if they were ready to order, Jace looked over at Cali, "Ok, you have already surprised me once today, give me your best shot. What do you want to eat?" As he waited, he motioned for the server to come close to him. "Its on me, no matter what she says" he whispered and gave Cali his full attention again. She was quite radiating as he began looking between her and the window. The rain was lightening up and there was a small bit of sunshine. That was a good thing for him, it would give him the opening to find something to get into later. He then started noticing all the glances and looks Cali was getting. "Typical idiots" he muttered because he remembered his own days where he got the stares and mutters about him. Not that it bothered him, it was just ridiculous the way this hole of a town was.

The waitress came back with their drinks and Cali sipped her water and leaned back in her seat. She managed a perfect smile. Cali wasn't surprised when, Jace offered to pay for her. Cali smirked at him and leaned forward,giving the waitress goosebumps. "If you say so. I'll have a grilled chicken-salad." Cali said, flatly to the waitress. Cali looked back at Jace,waiting for him to order. Cali looked around the shoppe, again. She ignored the stares she was getting. She hadn't met 'this Sammie Legar' ,but Cal was looking forward too. Cali peared out the window,to a streetlight flickering on and off. No students were outside or under the protection of shades outside. Cali shook her head,she didn't suspect her first at Appleberry to be this bad. The campus and the school wasn't impressing her either way around. Cali turned her attention back to Jace. tagged !

[atrb=width,240] Jace nodded his head at Cali when she went ahead and ordered. He flashed her an over-the-top grin and turned his attention to the waiter. "I would like the bacon-lover's grilled cheese with a side of fries,". The waiter jotted down their orders and went to put them in. Jace then noticed Cali look around the shop. "You don't look like the type to be bothered by the talk, hell you look like you would enjoy it." he said and took a long sip from him drink. "But if it does bother you, we can get it to go" He didn't quite understand why he was being so nice to this girl. He knew from the looks of her she was probably gonna be a Sammie Jr. but he was hoping she was different. He thought he detected a bit of trouble in her eyes but wasn't sure from all the damn style. He grabbed a napkin and wiped his hands then ran his fingers through his hair once again and it fell right back where it was once again.

She could feel multiple eyes on them from glances to shots. Cali knew what everyone was expecting,... including Jace. She was like a twin toward Sammie. She could be nicknamed Sammie Jr.,for the damn hell anyone wanted to say to Cali Desilets,but she didn't care for stupid-damn reason. Cali leaned back into her seat,placing a fake smile on her gorgeous face. Her expression and smile was unreadable and Cali decided to enjoy herself. "Let's eat in." Cali said looking up at the sweating waitress. She settled Cali's chicken-salad in-front of her,with a fork placed in it. Cali threw a quick smile at the waitress and picked up a piece of tomato. Cali put it in her mouth and the tomato juices ran down her delicate throat. Cali swallowed it and dug her fork into a piece of lettuce and chicken,stuck into the fork. Cali pursed her her glossed-lips together and leaned back into her seat. Cali was a skinny-toned girl and didn't mind losing or gaining a few calories,just for the for fun or fit of it. Cali threw her golden-blonde hair over her tanned shoulder and stuck her fork in her mouth. Cali settled her fork back into a piece of lettuce and looked out the Slice's window. It was still dark,but Cali had to adjust her china-blue eyes to the darkness on the other side of the window and the outside. Cali could make out a stray of light,but thought she was eeing things. Cali shook her her delicate blonde head and turned back to reality and the Slice. tagged !
