He yawned and rubbed his eyes as he rested his grooming tools down against the wall near a pair of cross ties. He hadn't slept in exactly 2 weeks now and the lack of sleep was definitely taking its toll on him but he was determined to push through the exaughstion to get in a nice calm ride in before he had breakfast. He strapped on his helmet as he grabbed Sonny's lead line and opened up the bay geldings stall and lead him out. He gave the gelding a quick yet thorough grooming then led him out of the barn and down into the indoor arena. He swung himself carefully onto Sonny's back and winced as he felt a wave of dizziness sweep over himself he shook his head to clear it and started trotting. He did three laps of the ring to warm up before going forwards into a canter he leaned over Sonny's neck as a huge wave of dizziness swept over him again his head was pounding and everything was blurry. Sonny took him leaning over as a signal to go faster so the gelding shot forwards into a gallop around the ring Michael was thrown off he landed on his side the middle of the ring. Sonny noticing he no longer had a rider slowed to a walk and then proceeded to trot out of the partially opened arena gate and up the pathway back towards the barn. ❞ |
