past (optional): He has had a pretty normal life up until Michael was born he raised Michael for the first year of his life when his parents ran off shortly after he was born leaving the newborn in the hospital by himself. He was devastated when the court handed Michael back over to his parents when they returned from their disappearing act and demanded that he be returned to their care. Jason in his own way raised Michael his entire life by teaching him self defense and lending and ear and place to stay as well as a person to talk to when ever the teen needed one.
He loves Michel like a son and it is joked by his friends that he is more of a father to Michael then his father Matthew is or ever could be. Jason like most of Michael's family was horrified to find out that the boy had been raped by a fellow class mate and took it upon himself to try and protect Michael even more then he had before.
He came to Appleberry to teach self-defense because of an increase in students getting injured outside of school and as it is a useful skill to know for life outside school. He has been riding for 15 years. He started riding as a hobby but has now started competitive riding doing dressage. He has competed in many well known dressage competitions.
