Scarlett had been here for five whole hours and she was already ready to explore. She loved an adventure and discovering the ins and outs of her new home was exciting to her. She wandered the green lawns, taking in the beautiful scenery and taking note of where everything was. As if she'd remember. Scar was far from a dumb blonde, but she was sometimes a bit of a scatterbrain. She pulled her schedule from her caramel-colored Marc Jacobs bag and decided now would be a good time to hunt down her classes. She'd have to attend them tomorrow and being late on her first day would be far more embarrassing than she could deal with.
She went to all of the buildings that she'd have her classes in and even went to the specific classroom in some of them. The walk between classes was longer than she'd expected,so her little endeavor was really worth it. The tall blonde ended her self-tour by the cafeteria building. It looked insanely busy and, truthfully, on her first day here she didn't want to sit alone in a crowd of her new peers. She was fine with flying solo but this is her fresh start and she wants to make it count. Deciding that she wanted to explore a bit more, she stumbled across another building serving food. A small cafe with everything desert. And it was nearly empty. Score.
Opening the heavy glass door, her black heeled booties clicked on the hard flooring. SHe'd paired them with a emerald green cashmere sweater, black leather vest, and dark denim skinny jeans. Walking straight up to the counter with no line, she scanned the menu. "Carmel macchiato and strawberry cheesecake, please," she ordered. Everything looked good but she was a sucker for cheesecake. As she stepped to the side to wait for her coffee, she glanced out the large windows. It was such a gorgeous night with the sun setting over the grounds. The barista handed her the coffee and cake and she decided that she would eat outside at one of the picnic tables. As she began walking out, her phone rang in her pack pocket. Fiddling to try and balance her food while pulling out her phone, she ran straight into someone while she wasn't looking. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry,"she exclaimed as a reflex.

Done with glee club for the night, for once, Holly O'Hara was quite thrilled to be done with it. All of that singing could be fun, but it was a little annoying when two catty bitches were trying to control everything and argue with each other over glitter. Or at least, that's how the arguments tended to translate in her head, one could say that Holly didn't pay too much attention to them half of the time. She did want she wanted and listened when she actually wanted. Plus, who builds cardio into a glee club schedule? That alone should describe how crazy some of those girls were, that or they were just overly dramatic. Point being, she was done with them for the night and now, there were endless possibilities of what she could be doing with herself. Or maybe more so glancing over that test for math, the utter bane of her existence. Meaning that first things first, stop by the sweete shop and get a double espresso shot of something.
Throwing her headphones on, she ventured on out into the cool Georgia air as dusk slowly set upon the campus. People were still lingering around outside though, Holly noted with grey eyes. Probably enjoying the nice weather because it had honestly felt like winter was going to last forever. Well, at least when it came to the weird weather of being hot one day and freaking cold the next. Clearly, the East Coast had to get it together unless they were already doomed due to some Armageddon that Holly didn't know about. Considering that four percent of the world thought that they were controlled by lizard aliens though, it wouldn't surprise that there was a lot of impending doom that she just happened to ignore. Speaking of ignoring though, Holly must have been ignoring a lot more than the end of the world since somebody just slammed into her.
A gasp actually escaped Holly O'Hara, for once in her life she seemed to have been caught off guard by something. She pulled her headphones down quickly, just in time to hear a 'i'm so sorry' which might have been a first for somebody who wears cashmere at this school. Grey eyes just stared at her for a long hard moment, to be a dick or not, that was the question. Holly didn't recongize her though, meaning that she just had to be new, right? Right, or so that is what she told herself, "Ah...nah, it's okay. I mean, no cheesecake was harmed in the making of this collision, so that's always a plus, right?" Boy, she should be shot for that, Holly just sounded weird when she was being pleasant like a normal person instead of a defensive, sarcastic teenager, "Judging by your shenanigans though, you must be new. I'm Holly."

She couldn't help but smile at the girl's reply, making her slightly less uncomfortable. "Yeah, no cheesecake was harmed. Only my pride," she joked back a bit in return. She was always ready to handle a bitchy comeback but she was grateful that this girl hadn't given her one. She was used to it, but that didn't mean that she enjoyed being around those who were so rude and took everything so personally.
When she asked if Scar was new, she nodded in response. "New as new can be. I've been here... five hours," she replied, checking her phone for the exact time. "Oh and I'm Scarlett," she added quickly, introducing herself.Despite the embarrassment of running into someone within her first hours on the campus, it was certainly a way to meet people. Maybe her clumsiness would finally do her some good. And this girl didn't seem to hate her instantly, so score again.
Her eyes scanned the campus as the sun set beautifully over the hills. "I'm not used to all this open land. The sunset is gorgeous here," she commented. It sounded a bit lame bit it was true. And Scar is a bit cheesy, so it fit her personality. She'd always loved LA but it was hard to see the stars at night, ones that are balls of light a million miles away, at least. This school was a completely different environment for her in every way.

Well, nobody could call her a crazy bitch. Then again, it's not like Holly ever really had been, but at least now this was total proof. After all, somebody else might have just eaten this girl alive. Besides, she could not help but to think that the blond deserved some sort of credit. For being a cashmere girl, she wasn't really a crazy bitch either unlike some of their fellow classmates. Clearly though, the girl was embarrassed by their collision but at least it was lessened by Holly's own comments, "Well, I hear that pride is something easily built again." Nobody could argue with that little statement. It didn't take long for the other girl to confirm that she was new to the scene of Appleberry, and honestly Holly really couldn't say that she was surprised. New people tended to stick out like a sore thumb. Not because of anything they did but simply because Appleberry was just that seemingly small of a school and of course, everybody knew everybody, "Five hours? That's a new record. Usually I hear 'i just got here yesterday or a few days ago', ya know?"
Well, actually, she probably didn't since she was well, new. Holly nodded at the introduction, Scarlett was an interesting name for someone who was clearly not a redhead, "Well, it's a pleasure. And we should probably sit down before you actually loose your cheesecake." She gestured to one of the outdoor tables now and waltzed her way over now, glancing over her shoulder at the girl commented about the open lands, "Yeahhh, I guess I can see that. At least it doesn't rain here all the time, I'm from Washington, so it's sorta our thing. Oh, that and trees. But open land, if it's your thing, I totally understand. Personally though, I prefer a big fat city." Purely for the music scene, but she wasn't sure if she was just ready to share that random little detail with the new girl quite yet. Sliding into a chair now, grey eyes glanced back over, "So, what academic goal made you come here? The horses?"

The people seemed to be a bit overconfident, but nobody had been outright mean to her yet. Realistically, Scar knew that there was a good chance that wouldn't last. Still, she couldn't help but feel pretty good. It had to be better than her old school at least. It would be hard to be worse. Too many people had too much time and spent most of it gossiping about everyone, especially Scarlett.
"Well, at least it's easier to rebuild than cheesecake," she replied with an apologetic smile. She was glad this girl didn't seem to want to kill her already. When she commented on Scar's recent arrival, she smiled a bit, "Yeah, I'm just about as new as it gets. I decided to put myself out here, rather than coop myself up in my dorm for my first night here," Scar explained honestly. "Besides, I had to settle my horses in so they forced me to socialize a bit. I figured, why not run with it."
Scarlett nodded and followed her to a table when she suggested that they sit. "Well, I'm from LA so the openness of the countryside is pretty different for me. I like the city too, but I don't mind the variety or that I don't have to travel an hour just to ride my horses. I can appreciate both lifestyles," she replied, responding to the girl's comments about their surroundings and Scar's new home. When asked about what brought her to Appleberry, she replied, "Um, well, the good academics and the horses were both big pluses. But what really sold me was that it was far from home and a fresh start. I was getting bored and I really just wanted a change." Really, Scar felt like she needed a change, not just wanted it.
