LA,California, June 8,1996. A little blonde baby girl was born to Greyson and Charlotte Beaumont, a happily married couple of three years. Greyson was a highly successful producer and Charlotte was a successful owner of a chain of restaurants. Scarlett was born into a good family, well off financially but also caring. She grew up a happy child, never without a need that was not met. Her parents were busy so she spent a lot of time in her younger years with a nanny.However, her parents always put forth a good effort.
First speedbump in Scar's life: her mother confesses that Greyson is not her father. She'd had a one-night stand while away on business in New York City. 6 months of separation for her parents did them some good and eventually they reconciled. Greyson was upset, understandibly, but didn't change his mind about raising Scarlett as his own. She was ten at the time.
Second speedbump: her mother becomes distant and emerged in her business, almost never coming home. Scarlett is twelve at the time. They discover that her mother has become a stress-drinker and it has progressed to becoming an alcoholic. This discovery was made when she drunk-drove her car into a pole and became paralyzed from the waist down. Crushing for the family, she'd never walk again. Fortunately, this event forced her to get help and she changed her ways.
Third speedbump: Scarlett is thirteen when her parents get a divorce. She'd seen it coming, due to the fighting. After many false accusations and many true ones, her mother confessed that she was gay. That was, obviously, the final nail in the coffin of their marriage. Again, things managed to turn out alright, both her parents getting remarried within the next two years. She isn't close to her step mother who married her father, as she dislikes Scarlett and disapproves that Greyson continues to act like her father, despite not being his biological daughter. Otherwise, she gets along well with both sides of her family.
Throughout her life, Scarlett has managed to remain optimistic and not get into too much trouble. Sure, she's dabbled with a few things here and there but she's a pretty clean girl. She's experienced a lot of bullying because of her parents seperation, remarrying, her mom's sexual preferences, etc. Coming to Appleberry is Scar's way of getting a fresh start. She is not ashamed of her family, but she doesn't want that to be the first thing people find out about her, before they even meet her. Another major bonus is that she can bring her horses. Throughout her life, horses have been an outlet for her anxiety and have always been steady. Ever since beginning to ride at age four at an elite stable just outside of LA, Scarlett has always owned a horse or two and visited the barn almost every day. Being at Appleberry will make her horses even closer to her and will help her become an even better rider.
