personality: Jolene used to be a very cheery girl, but that all changed one fateful night. After the incident, Jolene started suffering nightmares and therefore lead her to be fearful of going to sleep which soon lead to insomnia. Because of this, Jolene gets very little sleep, roughly three to four hours each night and then relies heavily on energy drinks and other means to get herself through the day. Sometimes, she'll try and go back to bed but it tends to be in vain. Due to the nature of her night owl life style, it leads Jolene to be very cranky with other people and over emotional. The smallest thing can be a trigger and set her off. She's still suffers a great amount of guilt over the incident but Jolene tries to cope with it as best as she can through wicca spirituality and beliefs (much to her parent's disdain) after her own grandmother's beliefs. With the past haunting her, Jolene dislikes and even finds herself paranoid of befriending people for she believes that she'll betray them too or a perfect stranger will turn out to be a monster.
past: Jolene lived a fairly decent life and her parents did very hard to bring her up properly and without the influences of her grandmother around. Jakara Llewellyn often thought her daughter rebelious for turning her back on their family beliefs so that she could be with an navy officer from Maryland. Thanks to a high standing position, Jolene was spared the life of being a navy brat and the travel that came with it, her family remaining concretely put and could keep her enrolled in private school. Every now and then though, there would be a navy ball or something else that required her parents to travel, to which they had no choice but to leave Jolene with Jakara for care. There was a bit of spark ignited whenever she got to spend a few days with her grandmother because of her different ways of living, but it never really took hold of her until after the day of the incident. The incident happened one summer night (she has already been attending Appleberry) when Jolene was fifteen and was babysitting a neighbor's child Natalie. She had done it several times before and considered the young girl like a sister. Something went wrong that night and she didn't know what. After she put Natalie to bed, everything seemed fine and normal but when her neighbors came back, they went into her room only to discover that Natalie was missing from her bed and no longer in the house. Three days later, her body turned up and the abductor was never caught. Jolene has never forgiven herself for it, and it has shaped her into what she is today. As a coping mechanism, she started learning more of her grandmother's beliefs before switching over to Wicca completely.
